Industry leaders, policy experts and global voices from the United States, Canada, Mexico and overseas came together to explore the evolution of manufacturing in Georgia and the opportunities it provides to communities in the Peach State. Claire was joined onstage by David Rubinger, Market President and Publisher of the Atlanta Business Chronicle. In addition to talking about Claire’s path going from two-sport athlete at Duke University, to pastry chef in the South of France, to CFO of Rivian, David also asked Claire why Rivian chose Georgia for its second manufacturing facility as well as its east coast headquarters.
“Georgia was an easy decision for us,” Claire shared. “The talent is amazing. Georgia has phenomenal universities and trade schools. But it’s also a great place to do business, with incredible logistics and supply chain infrastructure. It’s a great community to be a part of.”
Claire also shared her excitement for R2, which will be built in the new plant in Social Circle, GA when the facility comes online in 2028.
