Rivian was founded upon the idea of adventure and curiosity in the world around us. But we understand that adventure can take many forms.

Sometimes, it’s the driving thrill of switchback canyon roads or conquering a mountain trail. Other times, it’s the serene delight of watching the morning sun gracefully paint the summer sky. It is in this spirit of diverse adventure that we created something truly singular, the 2026 R1S Quad Monterey Edition, a 1-of-1 expression of our design and engineering ethos.

Commissioned exclusively for Broad Arrow’s Monterey auction during Monterey Car Week, this bespoke R1S stands as a harmonious celebration of craftsmanship and design. It is a vehicle designed for those who appreciate the seamless integration of performance, capability, and artistry.

Beneath the Surface: A Force of Nature

At the heart of this unique R1S beats our Quad-Motor platform, delivering not just speed, but confidence and precise control, on and off the road. This delivers 1,025 horsepower, 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds, quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds*, and the ability to conquer any road or trail it meets.

From deep sand and rocky ascents to PCH curves and urban neighborhoods, this R1S is engineered to handle it all with grace. It’s what happens when hypercar-level acceleration meets off-road dominance, seamlessly transitioning between wilderness adventure and urban refinement.

Exterior: The Golden Hour of Monterey Bay

The R1S Monterey Edition features a custom, 1-of-1 exterior color: Monterey Silver. This unique hue draws its inspiration directly from the soft, golden, and quietly powerful light of a morning over Monterey Bay. Painted in a meticulous hand-applied, four-stage process, the paint shimmers with the depth that evokes the reflective qualities of liquid metal. Complementing this bespoke paint are Laguna Beach Blue brake calipers and subtle badging, hinting at its performance pedigree.

Premium painted cladding, infused with subtle warm undertones, wraps the R1S’s sleek silhouette, creating a sophisticated interplay of light and shadow. Additional bespoke touches include custom-etched door sill plates and unique exterior lighting animations that subtly signal its exclusive nature. The vehicle is grounded by custom-forged 22” wheels with an exclusive three-tone finish, designed solely for this edition, providing a strong yet elegant stance.

Interior: A Modern Coastal Retreat

The interior transforms the R1S into a modern coastal sanctuary. The customized Coastal Canvas interior showcases supple Pebble Stone-inspired Adventex upholstery, the cabin pairs soft-touch materials with rugged refinement. Sustainable cork blended textiles and textured wood accents echo the textures and tones of Big Sur cliffs and ocean mist.

Throughout the cabin, from the acoustically designed speaker grilles to the floor mats and various accents in the vehicle, you will find a unique gradient finish inspired by the way the sun fades into the Pacific horizon. The Monterey Edition’s gradient finish subtly nods to the Rivian Adventure Department, blending teal blue, vivid red and golden yellow - the signature colors of our innovative skunkworks team. Every element in this one-of-one is thoughtfully designed—tactical, calming and distinctly Rivian.

Stay tuned as the 1-of-1 R1S Quad Monterey Edition crosses the auction block at no-reserve by Broad Arrow Auctions on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the Monterey Jet Center, Lot 127. Full proceeds from the auction will be donated to WaterAid and #TeamWater, a creator-led crowdfunding campaign to change millions of lives around the world through access to clean water.
