Every day is pet appreciation day at Rivian. Our vehicles come with a software feature, Pet Comfort mode, designed to help keep your furry sidekicks safe and comfortable as you travel.
More than 60 percent of current Rivian owners have at least one dog—not to mention all of the cats, turtles, birds, lizards, horses and a host of other creatures, great and small. In celebration of National Pet Day, we’re spotlighting a few of our favorite Rivian pets and inviting their owners to share a bit more about how they roll.
“The R1S is an outstanding choice for people with pets. It's fun to drive and roomy enough for our family of four humans, the boys' sports equipment, my family’s shopping, plus a very special five-pound Maltese Chihuahua.”
Owner–Jordan L., New York
“The car is so great for pets. The interior doesn’t get messed up easily like other cars and [Pet Comfort] keeps them cool when I have to go into the store quickly.”
Owner–Donovan S., California
“We take Chip and Leia everywhere. It’s more than just a vehicle for us. It’s part of the adventures we share as a family. The R1S has been the perfect travel companion, giving them the space to stretch out and the comfort to settle in.”
Owner–Mia Y., California
“When you think about us being adventurous, a lot of the time we enjoy doing those things with our pets. Pets and Rivian go hand in hand.”
Owner–Jamie L., Virginia
“I think the Rivian is the only choice for a pet owner. With four pugs with little legs—Pebbles, Stanley, Rosie and Gilbert—having the vehicle kneel down when parked allows them to jump in the truck and we’re ready to go!”
Owner–Blake M., Arizona
“She loves that the rear windows roll down all the way so she can stick her whole head out and let the wind bring her all the scents. Pet Comfort mode means we don’t have to worry about her when we need to dash into the store for a few things or to pick up take away for dinner.”
Owner– Kevin N., Colorado
“I typically keep his gear, including a water bowl, water jug, leash, and others, in the driver-side Gear Tunnel. The tunnel door also serves as a convenient tray for me to place his water bowl on, preventing dirt from getting into it. The latch brackets of the gear tunnel doors or tailgate provide a great connection point for attaching his leash.”
Owner–Tyler D., Utah
“We love our Rivian for our dogs. There's plenty of room in the backseat for both of them. The seats and floor mats are super easy to clean when our dogs are inevitably muddy and wet from camping and hiking. They also love the charging stops for fetch and bathroom breaks.”
Owner–Joshua W., Utah
“We have used the truck to haul our Gypsy Vanner horses, and also to transport all the animal feed and necessities. I love taking it to the feed store, where we get lots of questions. I am always telling other large animal owners how versatile and fun it is to drive! ”
Owner–Adriana J., California
“I drive Neena around with me often to the dog parks, trails in the nearby Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, or just running errands. Having fold-flat seats and climate control were must-haves and she loves going on road trips further away from home when we get the chance to take some time off.”
Owners–Krista R. and Henry Q.
“Monk definitely gets to joy ride with me from time to time. You can tell by the windows always having nose prints on them. He enjoys resting his head by the window or the arm rest with the AC blowing in his face.”
Owner–Alicia A., Florida
