Moving beyond the traditional service model has been a core goal at Rivian since our earliest days. We believe the best service experience is one that is seamless, proactive and most importantly—few and far between.

As we continue to see more Rivian vehicles on the road every day, our service infrastructure is growing in every dimension—across our team, our locations and our technology.

50+ new Service Centers planned to open through next year. That will bring us to 150+ Service Centers by the end of 2027. Multiple locations and larger sites with higher capacity are planned for our most dense Rivian markets to keep pace with our growing community. In more remote areas, we optimize with more nimble service options, leveraging Mobile Service to expand our reach.

50% increase in Mobile Service Vans planned through 2026. Mobile Service remains our customers’ most preferred service experience. As we continue to grow the size of our fleet, we are also enhancing onboard tools and technician training so we can perform more services remotely, including routine maintenance like tire rotations.

1,000+ service specialists added and trained in the last year alone. As our network expands to more locations, our hiring plans will keep pace. At existing Service Centers with higher demand, we’re adding more technicians to bolster the team. We’ve also implemented enhanced training programs to ensure new specialists are ready on Day 1.

35% reduction in scheduling wait times last year. We strive to make the time between your first outreach and when your vehicle enters service as short as possible. We continue to see more and more open service bays thanks to added locations, our growing team and optimized systems.

Software Enabled Service

Our connected vehicle architecture enables a deeper link between your Rivian and our operational systems. Smart diagnostics allow our technicians to identify issues early, and in some cases, resolve them remotely via an over-the-air update. If you have to bring your vehicle in, having information earlier not only makes scheduling more efficient, it helps ensure we have parts in hand before you arrive.

To ensure your vehicle spends as little time as possible in service, we have introduced new AI solutions that automate many of our backend systems, including scheduling, site logistics and repair planning. New functionality on our mobile app has further enhanced scheduling and improved communications from our team.

Ready for R2

We’ve taken everything we learned from R1 and applied it to the engineering and simplicity of R2. Reducing mechanical complexity during assembly results in higher quality assurance when vehicles roll off the line, simultaneously improving the ease and expense of servicing your vehicle if the need arises.
