No more digging around in a bag for your phone: the new Apple Watch app puts your most important vehicle controls right on the device you have at the ready. With a simple tap, you can lock or unlock your doors, vent windows, or sound the alarm. For even more control, use the digital crown to set a target state of charge or adjust the cabin temperature, and the app's customizable design lets you choose up to four quick controls for instant access to the features you use most.
Accessing your Rivian and driving is easy: Gen 1 drivers can lock or unlock their vehicle with a tap of the “lock” icon, and with the app open, you're ready to drive. Gen 2 customers have passive entry; once your digital key is set up, you can just walk up to your Rivian, and it will automatically unlock as you approach, allowing you to get in and go.
We built the new app as an extension of your driving experience, with a seamless design between your Apple Watch and the Rivian app on your iPhone. With the Apple Watch app, you can add glanceable battery status to your chosen watch face, keeping your vehicle’s range front and center alongside your daily activity. Your vehicle color and variation is visualized in the app, and iconography, colors and controls for Climate, Energy and Gear Guard are consistent and cohesive. The Gear Guard yeti even makes its appearance on the small screen.
This is just the beginning. The Rivian Apple Watch app will be updated over time with new features designed to improve your experience on the go.
