Your journey with Rivian goes far beyond the moment you take delivery of your vehicle. We're committed to building a helpful, intuitive end-to-end ownership experience that continues to evolve as your adventures do—both in your vehicle and throughout the ecosystem around it.

That’s why today we’re rolling out a refreshed Rivian mobile app.

Over the past several years, the Rivian app has steadily increased functions and capability. Every time we add a new feature we’re mindful of how our current owners will experience that change, as well as how easily understood the app will be to a new driver on day one.

This update reveals a new look and feel, and under the hood there are refinements to the architecture that will enable new functionality in the future as we welcome new customers and introduce new generations of our vehicles.

What’s new

Today, the new app is focused on enhancing your current ownership experience. Here’s what you can expect:

A new design

Our design and software teams worked together to create this new version that helps people find the information they need at a glance, and navigate quickly through the expanding set of controls, vehicle states, and product information. We’ve been deliberate with our use of color to group items and communicate intangibles, like cabin temperature. And we’ve heard your feedback—to help minimize scrolling we’ve developed a fresh design system to display information at just the right size and scale. Range, drive mode, and remote commands are now front and center, with the Climate, Energy, Gear Guard, and Location apps right below.

Introducing Rivian Mobile App 3.0

A reorganized dashboard

This update introduces a new approach to the use of space within the mobile dashboard, creating a more streamlined view that prioritizes what matters most. Looking to manage account settings? Owners can now find them right at the top of the product dashboard. Troubleshooting an issue or need support from the Rivian Assistant? We’ve moved it to a dedicated Service tab.

Personalized control

We understand that every Rivian owner is unique. That’s why Mobile App 3.0 introduces personalization of controls. Owners are now able to rearrange remote commands in the Controls section. For example, press, hold and rearrange to make the Charge Port at the top of your list.

Looking ahead

This is the first step of our app evolution and new design language. As Mobile 3.0 grows, our owners will see expanded functionality. And as always, we'll be keeping a close eye on our owner community’s engagement, feedback and unrivalled passion, with every update. Here’s a snapshot of what's to come:

Deepening personalization Building on the initial personalization features in 3.0, future updates will offer even greater customization of your ownership experience, tailoring the app to your specific use and preferences.

Elevating service We worked across the Rivian team—particularly with Service—to understand common challenges and where the app could take the best steps to solve them. Expect features and a design that put service front and center, improving communication related to service and making the process easier to navigate.

Expanding ownership functions As the Rivian ecosystem grows, so too will the capabilities of our app. Version 3.0 provides the architectural flexibility to integrate new features as we introduce them, or as you welcome new Rivian vehicles and products to your home.

Welcoming future Rivian owners The new app is built to accommodate future solutions and information specifically designed for prospective owners, offering valuable functions as they consider joining the Rivian community.
