Today we announced an exclusive partnership with CrunchLabs, the STEM innovation company founded by engineer and YouTube creator Mark Rober. The partnership marks a multi-phase collaboration designed to give consumers a closer look at the innovation, engineering and real-world impact behind Rivian’s electric vehicles and technology.
Rivian and CrunchLabs share a belief that engineering can solve real-world challenges and inspire the next generation of problem solvers. Both companies are committed to innovation, as well as making science and technology feel approachable.
Over the next year, Rober and CrunchLabs will create original content that gives audiences a deeper understanding of Rivian’s technology and manufacturing. Known for turning complex engineering concepts into exciting, repeat-worthy video content for the whole family, Rober will spotlight the science behind Rivian’s electric platforms, autonomy and safety features in ways that make advanced technology accessible and engaging.
This collaboration between Rivian and CrunchLabs will officially kick off on Friday, March 13 during SXSW at the Rivian Electric Roadhouse, our central hub for inspiring sessions, events, and live music. Our Founder and CEO RJ Scaringe will join Mark Rober for a live session featuring one of Mark’s signature scientific demonstrations followed by a deep-dive conversation on the creativity that drives our products. As we look toward the future and the introduction of new vehicles like R2, this partnership will expand into original digital content and nationwide family-focused activations at our retail spaces.
