During the White House Conservation in Action Summit, President Biden established Avi Kwa Ame National Monument in southern Nevada. Avi Kwa Ame National Monument preserves some of the most visually stunning, biologically diverse and culturally significant lands in the Mojave Desert.
True to our mission to Keep the World Adventurous Forever, Rivian is committed to both decarbonizing our business and helping to protect natural landscapes—complementary and necessary work that is required to address the climate crisis and preserve special places for future generations.
Anisa Costa, Rivian's Chief Sustainability Officer, wrote a letter to the Biden Administration expressing Rivian's support. "This area deserves enhanced protection for its outstanding biological diversity, scenery, recreational value and cultural significance."
