The Miracle League creates a custom-designed baseball field that enables children with mental and physical disabilities to play ball. The location, Newton County, is close to the future site of Rivian's new manufacturing facility in Stanton Springs North.
“It has been an incredible and memorable weekend,” said Chuck Bunn, Sr. Director of Assembly at Rivian. “To see the kids out here playing a game they love and watching their families cheer them on, I’m just glad I get to be part of it. Rivian is so proud to sponsor this event and be part of this community.”
During the opening ceremony and game days, Rivian was there with vehicle exploration, R1T model build crafting and popsicles in the frunk—which were a huge hit.
“The outpouring of positive feedback has been overwhelming, and I couldn’t be prouder of our community,” said Mike Hopkins, event organizer and parent of a Miracle League athlete. “You truly knocked it out of the park! From our sponsors, residents, and supporters—thank you. We couldn’t have achieved this without your dedication and heart. I was deeply moved to witness our community come together to serve one of the most underserved groups in our society. Thank you for making them [Miracle League children] feel seen, valued, and welcomed.”
