A progressive approach to vesting
Our ownership for all approach provides every new hire with an equity grant. This makes equity a vital part of our reward strategy across an extremely diverse workforce. We see tremendous value in intrinsic motivation and attracting people inspired by our mission and challenged by the scale of our ambition. Our goal is to reward for impact delivered to Rivian (not prior) and truly differentiate for those able to keep pace with our steep climb. As we enter 2022, we’re removing our one-year cliff, shortening our new hire grant to two-years, and doubling down on recognizing impact delivered to Rivian through ongoing equity grants. These enhancements provide earlier access to equity, the potential for higher annualized value and a deeper connection to Rivian’s success and our culture.
