The Pacific Northwest provides a glimpse at what wide-scale electrification can look like — Rivians winding through city streets, easy charging on the go, and even crossing the Puget Sound in a ferry that will soon operate emission-free.
Since our newest space opened in Seattle earlier this month, we are seeing firsthand how this community is expanding possibilities for electric adventure.
We hope to meet you at a location near you as we continue to open new spaces across the US and Canada.
Building an electric future.
There is tangible progress toward electrification all around Washington state, which is primarily powered by renewable energy and has one of the highest EV adoption rates in the US. There are also long-term ambitions to electrify statewide transportation systems, including the electrification of Washington State Ferries — the largest ferry system in the US.
Carbon-less in Seattle, from city to trail.
Rivian's goal is system-wide electrification, which includes supporting renewable energy projects in underserved areas and extending EV adoption where it already has a strong foothold. The opening of our Seattle space complements our existing presence in the Seattle area, including our Service Center in Bellevue.
Seattle locals regularly shift between urban traffic and mossy trailheads. Whether it's an errand across town, an impromptu day trip or a weekend sojourn, these journeys can all happen with zero emissions. As decarbonization efforts gain momentum across the Pacific Northwest, we're looking forward to seeing more and more adventures go electric.
“It's motivating to see more and more of our vehicles on the road here. It's real-life confirmation that our work is having a measurable impact.”
Dakota Burgerhoff Rivian Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
Upcoming Rivian spaces include locations in Chicago, Denver, Brooklyn, Austin, Laguna Beach and Yosemite. We can't wait to meet you.
