But today, I'm not just talking about another exotic locale – I'm giving you the inside scoop on my favorite adventure companion: my R1S.
When I first heard about the R1S, I was intrigued. An all-electric, seven-seater SUV that promised off-road adventure and best-in-class comfort? It seemed almost too good to be true. As a tech nerd who values clean design and environmental consciousness - and needs enough space for my family - I gave it a try. And let me tell you, my R1S has not disappointed. In fact, it has encouraged me to explore even more and feel confident when I hit the road.

As an avid traveler of 13+ years, I’ve learned a lot of lessons about how to travel smarter and with more joy. One of them is having a vehicle you love and trust to get where you need to go comfortably and with confidence.
The look of the R1S is striking. The interior is beautiful; the ride is smoother than anything I thought possible, and for my luggage loading crew, the cargo space is unbeatable. We can now tote six full size bags to LAX, no sweat. My toddler’s toys sit comfortably in the “frunk” (front trunk for those who don’t know!) -- which can hold a large cooler for serving up ice cold drinks while on the beach. Meanwhile, Pet Comfort even keeps my first-born furry son comfy and cool while we step away from the car.
But best of all: the ability to charge at home, impressive range, and a growing network of fast-charging stations help alleviate concerns about how far I can go in an EV. If this is what it means to have a mom car? I'm in.
From scenic drives along the Pacific Coast to overnight camping trips in Yosemite, it all feels not only doable but pleasant for the whole family. Remember that time I went off-roading in Moab? I’m looking forward to seeing how my R1S handles rocky trails, given its all-terrain capabilities and incredible mix of drive modes to support me wherever I go.
Finally, I wanted to touch on the bigger picture that’s close to my heart. Fellow moms out there can relate when I say that climate anxiety is real. When I look into my son’s eyes and wonder what the future holds, I feel nervous.
The fear and uncertainty of climate change feels so big, it can be hard to know what decisions will make a meaningful difference. But driving an EV I love helps me continue to make lifestyle changes that invest in future generations. It’s not everything, but it’s something. And it matters.

My R1S has supported my concept of adventure, proving that a premium car and a sustainable mindset can coexist. For me, the R1S is more than just a “mom car”; it’s a vehicle that lets me explore the world in comfort, style, and best of all: with a clearer conscience for my kid.
