More entertainment while parked with Google Cast and YouTube
With the introduction of Google Cast™ and a native YouTube™ app, entertainment is always within reach when your vehicle is parked. Rivian is the first automotive launch partner to offer Google Cast, along with the native YouTube on TV experience, which is the version of the app that’s optimized for large screen devices, like TVs and streamers. The addition of both services ensures you have the newest streaming options that are easy to use and built for enjoying your favorite media.
Google Cast brings more than 3,000 apps to your vehicle while you’re parked; simply cast from your phone to watch your favorite streaming app subscriptions, flip through a Google Photos slideshow of holidays and trips past, or play a crackling fireplace from YouTube while you break out the snacks.
All Rivian customers will have a temporary preview of the Google Cast and YouTube features that can be streamed through Connect+.
Music and entertainment on the go with SiriusXM
With SiriusXM, now available through a subscription, drivers can enjoy hundreds of channels of exclusive audio entertainment content on the road, including ad-free music, plus 24/7 live sports, news, and entertainment programming. Holiday travelers can choose from more than two dozen festive music channels, tune in to their favorite SiriusXM talk personalities, and never miss a touchdown, goal, or basket with live play-by-play from every major pro and college sport. A free trial subscription to SiriusXM is available to all Rivian customers starting today — to get started, tap on the SiriusXM icon within the media app and accept the trial to start listening.
Ride in comfort from the moment your trip begins
Gen 1 vehicles already offer climate schedules, and now they’re available for Gen 2 vehicles. Before a planned trip, simply create a schedule in the Climate Schedule panel on the center display or in the Rivian mobile app to precondition your vehicle cabin and battery. If you’re in a cold climate, the night before your departure you can now schedule your vehicle to warm the cabin and heat your wheel and seat by the time you’re ready to hit the road.
More comfort and capability in Highway Assist (Gen 2 vehicles)
Highway Assist helps you get to where you’re going more relaxed and refreshed by helping with steering, braking, and acceleration on major highways.
With the latest software update, automatic lane changes gain an enhancement: Lane Change on Command can accelerate the vehicle to locate a gap in the target lane before initiating a lane change—which means your vehicle switches lanes faster and more seamlessly while in Highway Assist. Plus, a useful visual on the center display indicates when the vehicle is slowing, accelerating, and when a suitable gap has been spotted in the target lane, to give you a strong sense of where the vehicle is in space and how it’s navigating your surroundings. Even when you're not changing lanes, enhancements in Gen 2 Highway Assist help improve driving comfort with more advanced path planning that contributes to smoother steering, including on curvy roads.

Bring holiday cheer wherever you go
We’re introducing a festive surprise for a limited time — whether you’ve arrived at your destination or are parked at a rest stop. On your center display, Snow Mode has transformed into a winter wonderland. You also have the option to replace the normal lock sound and light effect with a holiday version: a holiday jingle lock sound and festive light animation. Gen 2 vehicles receive a green and red animation, and Gen 1 vehicles gain a jolly green effect—a feature that’s sure to garner cheerful smiles from fellow travelers passing by.
